Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop, and implement process improvements focused on operational optimization and cost reduction.

• Support capacity expansion initiatives, new product development, and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.

• Read, interpret, and understand mechanical drawings and CAD models in both 2D and 3D formats.

• Provide innovative mechanical engineering solutions to support equipment design and manufacturing processes.

• Offer technical guidance on component design while ensuring compliance with manufacturing best practices.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain.

• Collaborate with Corporate Quality, Automation and Controls, and Product Engineering teams to support business objectives.

• Provide engineering support for new product and process introductions, ensuring compliance with New Product Development (NPD) procedures.

• Define, develop, and implement assembly processes, workstation layouts, and material handling systems for new products.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, process specifications, PFMEAs, and process flow diagrams.

• Support a wide range of assembly processes, including highly automated manufacturing cells, resistance welding, and friction welding operations.

• Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting expertise, and hands-on support as required.

• Lead equipment upgrade and improvement projects, including RFQ development, installation, validation, commissioning, documentation, and production launch support.

• Coordinate assembly activities for new product launches while ensuring compliance with the Bill of Materials (BOM).

• Coordinate the receipt, qualification, and validation of equipment, tooling, components, materials, and spare parts necessary for manufacturing operations.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process, or assembly engineering.

• Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI), assembly processes, and manufacturing process improvements.

• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings and CAD models.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
