Job Description:

DEPARTMENT: R&D Lab       

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Employee will be able to demonstrate proper operation of the R&D Lab winding machines including all the different types of bobbins for different carrier applications. Will primarily focus on large contract winding jobs that require traverse adjustments during the run time of the machine. Also responsible for the complete and proper packaging of the finished product per customer request.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Entry-level shop/field position typically requiring little to no prior knowledge or experience. Work is closely supervised and follows standard routines or procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operation of R&D Lab winding machines
  • Packaging of finished product
  • Assemble/modify braiding machine carriers
  • Assist Lab technicians with braiding machine set up if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· High school graduate or equivalent

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, shipping orders, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, auditors and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

· Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
