Buyer Analyst

Key Role Responsibilities

• Create, review and release orders in a timely manner and perform transactions necessary.
• Expedite deliveries as required to meet customer demands.  Identify problem areas that impact delivery and quality performance and initiate corrective actions.

• Notify and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise concerning documentation, invoice discrepancies, delivery or quality performance.  Solicit feedback, initiate corrective action and coordinate resolution of issues. Keep operations and management informed of critical situations.

書類、請求書の不一致、納期、品質に関する問題が発生した際は、関係者に通知・連携する。フィードバックを求め、是正措置を開始し、問題解決に向けた調整を行う。重要な状況については、現場および管理職に報告・共有する。

• Respond to inquiries on customer orders.  Ensure that inquiries are promptly and professionally responded to.  Communicate with affected person in charge when schedules are revised.

• Communicate with sales and operations planning by providing input and feedback.

• Ensure prompt disposition of NCR’s to minimize impact to the production schedule.

• Coordinate ECN activity and the implementation of changes, which affect assigned items.

• Maintain mutually beneficial long-term relationships with assigned suppliers in an effort to foster continuous improvement and feedback.  This includes following the nVent Code of Business Conduct.

• Process all order changes, holds and cancellations. Advise appropriate personnel of cancellation costs identified.  Initiate Return Goods Authorizations as required.

• Develop and maintain working knowledge of assigned products and processes to complete all assigned responsibilities in a satisfactory manner.  Comply with and support company policies and procedures and the nVent Schroff and nVent Hoffman Quality systems.

• Develops, maintains and distributes reports as required.

• Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement and Lean activities.  Performs other responsibilities / duties as apparent or assigned.

• Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

• Work with Supply Management to develop initiatives to achieve KPI goals.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Art Degree in business, engineering, materials management or comparable experience.
• Knowledge of MRP and related system, preferred.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a buying function preferred.
