Customer Success Manager

We founded Bild AI to tackle the mess that is blueprint reading, cost estimation, and permit applications in construction. Today we are the AI takeoff platform for Division 8: doors, frames, and hardware. Distributors across the US run their takeoffs on Bild AI and push them into Comsense, AVAware, eMullion, ProTech, and TOAD. Featured on Business Insider.

 

Our customers want to talk to us every week. That is the best signal a startup can get, and it is more than the founders and engineers can carry alone. You will be the first person at Bild AI whose whole job is making Division 8 estimators get over the training hump and become successful on the product.

 

You'll

- Own a book of Division 8 distributors and run their weekly calls

- Onboard and train estimators on Bild AI and Bildy, and get their takeoffs into Comsense, AVAware, eMullion, ProTech, TOAD, or Excel

- Travel a few times a month to sit next to estimators, run trainings, and map how their shop really works from drawings to ERP

- Turn what you hear into requirements the engineers ship the following week

- Watch account health, catch low usage early, and pull accounts back before they churn

- Figure out how customer success works at 50 and 100 customers: cohort trainings, office hours, videos, in-product help. Whatever keeps the signal of a weekly call without 40 hours of meetings

 

We want

- 3+ years in Division 8: estimating, detailing, project management, or inside sales

- Hands-on use of at least one of Comsense, AVAware, eMullion, ProTech, or TOAD

- Read door schedules, hardware sets, and specs without help

- You're the person your coworkers already ask when the software does something weird, and you've trained new members of your team

- Hungry IC. You want to learn the whole industry, not manage a team. A lot of this job is listening

- Communicate with empathy and honesty. Tell us what makes you happy/unhappy

- Don't mind schlep. We are regularly knee-deep in schlep

 

Bonus points (if any)

- DHI coursework, DHT, or AHC

- Have used Bild AI or another AI takeoff tool

- Have trained other estimators or new hires

- Are impact-driven
