THE TEAM
The mission of the Business Finance Department is to maximize Aritzia’s financial performance with an entrepreneurial mindset.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a unique opportunity to join the Business Finance Department, where you will be part of the team responsible for producing insightful financial analysis to optimize Aritzia’s financial assets and business decisions. As an Intern in Business Finance, you will contribute to Aritzia’s future growth by supporting the development of strategic financial insights and solutions to support the growing business. As one of our business support functions, this is a special opportunity to develop subject matter expertise in a core business area as you grow your financial analysis skills. Our goal is that you will come out of your internship inspired, with meaningful experience and an enhanced skill set you can carry forward into your bright future.
THE ROLE
As an Intern in Business Finance, you will support with:
- Forecasting sales and/or business expenses in the short and long term, simultaneously analyzing and explaining key drivers of future growth
- Understanding and analyzing business results including the internal (business-driven) and external (macroeconomic) drivers for P&L line items
- Supporting our business partners with financial analysis, insights, and go-forward recommendations on sales events, special projects, and business initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for smart spend management through informed and fact-based business decisions
- Providing our business partners and Aritzia Leadership Team with timely and accurate reporting on performance results, calling out key highlights, risks, and opportunities
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Intern, Business Finance has/is:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution, with a preferred graduation date of April 2027 to April 2028
- Preferably pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
- The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
- Passion for Aritzia and the fashion industry
- Skills and experience with Excel are an asset
- A logical, organized approach with an appreciation for structure and details
- A problem solver who thinks critically to develop insightful solutions
- Work experience in Aritzia Boutiques, Concierge, or Distribution Centres is highly valued
THE DEPARTMENT

Develop your financial and business acumen
- Build an understanding of the key financial drivers, KPIs, and performance metrics that shape business decisions
- Analyze operational reporting and identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities across the business
- Support improvements to forecasting, planning, and financial models to drive greater accuracy and efficiency
- Gain exposure to financial planning processes and how business performance is measured and evaluated
Partner across the business to drive informed decision-making
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to gain broad business exposure and perspective
- Support financial analysis that translates data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Participate in cross-functional forecasting, budgeting, and planning discussions
- Help evaluate business opportunities, identify trends, and uncover insights that support strategic priorities
- Develop skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and business partnering

- Internship Dates: May 10 – July 30, 2027 (12 weeks)
- Location: Vancouver, BC
- Successful candidates must be able to work at the primary work location and self-relocate if necessary
