Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for the creation and coordination of presentation material, digital fliers and promotions, printed material and other graphic design material needed for both customer-facing items and internal corporate communications.
Principal Accountabilities:
Creates new presentation material (PowerPoint) for internal (quarterly meetings) and external presentations (customer-facing).
Creates digital fliers and/or promotions used on internal or external websites.
Creates printed material ranging from a flier in the break room to large printed signage outside of the building.
Create logos for special events or milestones for the company that will be used on a variety of items (online promotional materials or t-shirts and hats).
Works directly with Corporate Communications on content priority and routinely gives status updates on project pipeline.
Works with Subject Matter Experts on graphic design requests in partnership with Corporate Communications.
Ensures all new material follows a review process for final approval that includes: SMEs, legal, marketing and key stakeholders.
Ensures quality for both digital and printed material and customizes graphic design based on each vehicle.
Qualifications:
Strong competency of various graphic software programs (i.e Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong copywriting and communication skills
Preferred BA/BS/BFA or AA/AS Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Journalism
Preferred 3 years experience in a marketing or communications related environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong competency of various graphic software programs (i.e Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Strong copywriting and communication skills
Top Candidates Have:
Well-crafted online portfolio
Advanced knowledge of current design tools and software
Strong foundation of graphic design principles (color, typography, layout, etc.)
Preferred experience in a marketing or communications related environment
Summary Pay Range:
$89,210.00 - $133,810.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
