The Opportunity:

Join KBR as an ICT System Administrator and play a key role in supporting and enhancing CMTN capabilities within a complex and evolving technology environment. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse mix of infrastructure, networking and security-related technologies, helping ensure Air CMD&V systems and networks remain fit for purpose while balancing evolving ISM and ACSC requirements against end-user needs.

You'll enjoy a varied role that combines project delivery with hands-on operational support. One day you may be taking ownership of a technical solution, such as building and integrating a new WSUS server, implementing firewall rules or developing supporting accreditation documentation, while the next you could be providing user support, patching systems, reimaging devices or resolving access issues. Your work will directly contribute to the ongoing development, security and reliability of critical systems, processes and networks.

This position is ideal for someone with strong Windows, Windows Server and networking experience who enjoys solving problems, taking initiative and seeing solutions through from concept to implementation. In return, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise, work alongside experienced professionals and make a meaningful contribution within a collaborative and mission-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage major updates to the CMTN documentation suite in accordance with accreditation and certification authority requirements.
  • Assess risks and implement minor hardware and software updates across the CMTN RF, CMTN EO, and CMTN M&S domain segments, ensuring compliance with CMTN policies and procedures.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Information Security Manual (ISM) requirements, accreditation, certification and risk management in both home and deployed environments.
  • Engage with users to identify ongoing requirements, assess risk versus benefit and develop architectural recommendations for CMTN capability managers.
  • Manage monthly infrastructure patching and updates, including firewalls and network segmentation devices.
  • Assess risks and implement updates to CMTN segmentation and internal cross-domain solutions.
  • Deliver CMTN-specific pre-deployment training to personnel participating in trials and exercises.
  • Coordinate the monthly transfer of system logs to designated ITSM representatives to support cyberworthiness and security monitoring activities.
  • Provide broader CMTN support and operational continuity during ICT team absences or deployments.
  • Deliver reach-back support for deployed CMTN elements on a rotating roster, as agreed between Commonwealth and contractor representatives.

As the ideal candidate you will bring:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar ICT role
  • Relevant ICT qualifications in network administration
  • Expertise in JIRA administration
  • Experience with VMware, NetApp storage, and SQL Server
  • Strong Windows and Linux administration skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience
  • Understanding of Electronic Warfare concepts (desirable)

All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding an NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
