As a Product Operations Intern, you will work within Acxiom’s Product organization to support the planning, coordination, measurement, and continuous improvement of product and technology initiatives.

This role extends beyond traditional technical project management. You will gain hands on experience across product operations, program execution, data analysis, process improvement, workflow automation, product enablement, and strategic research. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Commercial, Enablement, Compliance, and Program Management teams to help translate strategy into coordinated execution.

This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful product and platform initiatives while learning how enterprise technology, data, identity, and marketing solutions are developed, governed, and brought to market.

Internship Details

  • This internship opportunity will begin on January 11, 2027
  • The role requires 20 to 29 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during summer and academic breaks
  • Candidates should have an anticipated graduation date between May 2027 and December 2027

What You Will Do

  • Support product and program planning by maintaining milestones, risks, decisions, dependencies, and action items
  • Assist with recurring operational reporting, portfolio dashboards, OKR updates, and leadership materials
  • Analyze product, program, and operational data to identify trends, capacity concerns, execution gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Support project setup and maintenance across Workday, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Slack, Teams, and other collaboration platforms
  • Help maintain Workday project information, including resource allocations, hours, end dates, stages, and related attributes
  • Review team allocations and help identify potential resource conflicts or overallocation
  • Assist with product requirements, process maps, operating procedures, implementation plans, and project documentation
  • Document product, platform, data, partner, and integration workflows
  • Support workflow automation and the responsible use of artificial intelligence to improve reporting, research, documentation, and team productivity
  • Conduct structured market, partner, ecosystem, and competitive research to support product and commercialization decisions
  • Develop playbooks, training resources, and enablement materials for internal teams and stakeholders
  • Support program governance activities, project reviews, and Product or Program Management audits
  • Coordinate project meetings, document decisions, and follow up on assigned actions
  • Review status reports and presentations for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Provide limited project management coverage during planned absences and short term team needs
  • Support Product Operations initiatives, team events, and professional development programs
  • Complete and present a defined internship project with measurable recommendations or business outcomes

What You Will Need

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Product Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, Media, or another applicable field
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to organize complex information and translate it into clear documentation, insights, and next steps
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal partners and provide clear status updates
  • Experience leading or contributing to project teams in an educational, professional, or volunteer setting
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated persistence in completing assignments
  • Proactive learning, intellectual curiosity, and a willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Interest in product operations, product management, data, identity, artificial intelligence, advertising technology, or enterprise platforms

What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with collaboration and project management tools, including Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Trello, Slack, or Teams
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software or product development practices
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience using artificial intelligence or automation tools to improve research, analysis, documentation, or workflows
  • Exposure to advertising technology, marketing technology, data platforms, identity solutions, digital media, or enterprise software
  • Experience developing presentations, process documentation, research summaries, or recommendations for academic or professional audiences
  • A demonstrated interest in improving how teams plan, collaborate, make decisions, and deliver products

What You Will Gain

This experience can help prepare you for future roles such as Product Operations Analyst, Product Analyst, Data Analyst, Technical Program Coordinator, Integration Specialist, or Associate Product Manager.
