About the Role:
Baird’s Human Resources team is dedicated to attracting, developing, engaging and retaining the best global talent to meet the firm’s mission of being a best place to work. Our Talent Acquisition team is responsible for sourcing, attracting and hiring top talent across the firm. They manage the full life cycle recruitment process with a focus on providing outstanding service to hiring managers, a positive candidate experience and a strong partnership with other TA team members.
This is a hybrid internship, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in our downtown Milwaukee, WI office and Monday and Friday remote. The interns must be able to work full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week, and work part time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week. We are seeking local students who can start in June 2027.
The Impact You’ll Make:
Perform high-volume interview scheduling for phone, video and onsite interviews; scheduling can be complex with occasional travel arrangements needed
Manage candidate and client correspondence regarding interviews
Draft and proof offer letters to ensure consistency and accuracy
Monitor the talent acquisition email inbox and phone messages to ensure timely responses to inquiries
Update and manage candidate information and interview status in Workday, the applicant tracking system
Deliver unparalleled customer service to hiring managers and interview teams, while ensuring a positive candidate experience with Baird
Support process improvements and projects for Talent Acquisition and across HR
Assist in the coordination of other recruiting activities, including administrative duties and special projects as needed
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
Pursuing a degree in human resources, communications, business or related degree
Anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect clearly and professionally with clients and candidates
Professional, calm and courteous with a focus on providing excellent client service
Organizational excellence, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate strong attention to detail and ensure high-quality and on-time delivery
High level of motivation, proactivity and strategic thinking, with a strong commitment to learning and contributing effectively
Interest in developing a career in talent acquisition
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
Prior experience in an office setting is preferred
