We are seeking a Director to join the ISG FID Finance Projects and Risk team in New York. The role will lead strategic change and risk and control initiatives across Fixed Income Finance, partnering globally with Controllers, Business Units, Operations, Technology and other stakeholders to strengthen controls, reduce risk, meet regulatory requirements and improve efficiency.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services relating to the Firm's financial and capital resources.

What you'll do in the role
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm.
> Lead individual and team deliverables across strategic change, business transformation and risk and control initiatives, applying in-depth knowledge of Finance processes and Fixed Income products.
> Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce risk and strengthen the control environment.
> Act as a culture carrier by demonstrating the Firm's values and holding yourself and others accountable to Firm standards.
> Partner with subject matter experts to translate regulatory, accounting and business requirements into clear process, data, technology and control solutions.
> Assess end-to-end Finance processes and controls, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and drive sustainable remediation through process change, governance or technology delivery.
> Manage multiple workstreams from analysis and planning through implementation, testing, adoption and closure, while maintaining clear ownership, milestones, risks, dependencies and escalation paths.
> Build trusted global relationships and deliver concise updates, recommendations and presentations to senior sponsors, governance forums and cross-functional stakeholders.
What you'll bring to the role
> In-depth knowledge of Finance, Product Control, change delivery or risk and control, together with an understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment.
> Ability to operate independently across most responsibilities, exercise sound judgment and take ownership from problem definition through execution.
> Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback, challenge the status quo and improve processes in a practical and sustainable manner.
> Experience in business analysis, project or program management, risk governance, control assessment or a comparable role.
> Ability to manage tight deadlines, competing priorities and multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
> Experience in partnering across Finance, Business Units, Operations and Technology, including with virtual teams across regions and time zones.
> Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to business, technical and senior management audiences, both verbally and in writing.
> At least five years of relevant experience would generally be expected to provide the skills required for this role.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
