About the team and the role

At eBay, our partnership ecosystem helps sellers start, scale, and succeed by extending essential seller workflows through third-party providers and software integrations across listing, inventory, order management, and valuable services.

The Partner Manager Germany will own a portfolio of strategic partners in Germany and develop growth plans that increase seller adoption, improve partner performance, and strengthen eBay’s position in the German ecommerce ecosystem.

Working across commercial strategy, business development, and platform connectivity, this role will collaborate with external partners and internal teams including product, marketing, analytics, legal, and operations. You will build joint business plans, accelerate lead generation and seller acquisition, and influence partner roadmaps to improve the eBay seller experience.

What you will accomplish

  • Own and implement partnership strategies for a collection of essential partners in Germany, driving GMV, new seller acquisition, partner-enabled seller adoption, and use of eBay-integrated capabilities.

  • Build and lead shared business strategies with partners, including commercial and incentive models, co-marketing initiatives, and measurable growth objectives aligned with eBay priorities.

  • Generate and develop partner-led opportunities by activating demand-generation programs and collaborating across teams to convert pipeline into seller growth.

  • Build positive relationships with partner business, product, and technical teams to influence product roadmaps, strengthen eBay integrations, and advocate for API enhancements that improve the seller experience.

  • Lead partner negotiations and the end-to-end delivery of critical initiatives, coordinating with product, marketing, legal, analytics, and operations.

  • Use partner performance data, market trends, and knowledge of the German ecommerce to find opportunities, address structural barriers, and shape eBay's partnership strategy in Germany.

What you will bring

  • Experience leading and growing strategic partnerships, business development relationships, or partner ecosystems, with a track record of negotiating, launching, and growing partnerships that deliver measurable results.

  • Experience with API partnerships and third-party software integrations, including working with product and technical partners and influencing integration or product roadmap priorities.

  • Strong commercial skills, including experience developing joint business plans, incentive structures, co-marketing or partner enablement programs, and go-to-market initiatives.

  • Knowledge of the German ecommerce landscape and partner ecosystem, including relevant software and service providers; experience in marketplaces, ecommerce, SaaS, internet services, retail technology, or seller tools is helpful.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions, assess performance, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Strong partner management, communication, and presentation skills, with experience collaborating across product, marketing, legal, and analytics and building trusted relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal German and English, with proficiency in Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel. Masters or equivalent experience in Business Administration is preferred.
