This role provides day-to-day support to the Planning Manager for the Direct-to-Consumer channel. This position is responsible for pre-season merchandise financial planning, open-to-buy management, flow planning, in-season forecasting, and in-season management.

Key Responsibilities:

➢ Support the Manager, Planning (Timberland), in developing top-down merchandise financial plans.

➢ Analyze store plans and provide feedback to the marketplace team during the monthly, seasonal, and yearly planning processes.

➢ Run rolling forecasts based on sales mix, markdown, and sell-through assumptions to create seasonal open-to-buy plans across multiple time frames.

➢ Develop seasonal product flow plans.

➢ Identify weekly MTG and YTG forecasts, risks, and opportunities with the marketplace team.

➢ Recommend and review markdown and promotional opportunities together with the marketplace team.

Lead the alignment of markdown and pricing across different channels.

➢ Review sales trends, forecast ending inventory, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actions to mitigate risks.

➢ Consistently monitor business performance through analytics and identify actions to achieve key performance metrics.

➢ Understand the key connections and interactions required across all business process steps.

➢ Conduct regular business reviews with the China marketplace team and Buying team.

Competency Requirements:

➢ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

➢ Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data, identify implications, and recommend required actions.

➢ Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify actions and make decisions to resolve issues.

➢ Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

➢ Advanced numerical and quantitative analysis skills.

➢ Retail knowledge.

➢ Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to deliver results according to established processes and timelines.

➢ Excellent communication skills.

➢ Ability to turn data and analytics into insights that inform and influence decision-making.

➢ Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

➢ Ability to interact and communicate effectively with employees at all levels, both senior and junior.

➢ Knowledge of Tableau and Access is a plus.

➢ Fluent in English in a business environment.
