Job Description:
As an Assembly Technician, you will work in a dynamic team environment alongside other assembly team members to install and test, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment utilizing engineering drawings to meet the product requirements.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Reading and understanding of engineering drawings, work instructions, schematics, and other technical documents.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation installation requirements and techniques
Knowledge to set and align structural assemblies, gas fuels filters, vessels, and install bolted piping systems.
Knowledge to install cable support systems (tray, conduit, clips, unistrut), cable forming during cable installation, glanding and termination of electrical cables, installation of instruments and devices, how to route, cut and form tubing as well as assist in electrical testing of systems.
Knowledge of instrumentation tubing takeoff, bending, and installation
Follow documented procedures and standard work to perform safe and defect free operations
Assembly and installation piping systems. Responsibilities including alignment, levelling, squaring, and bolt-up of piping and/or spool runs.
Use of forklifts, pallet jacks, jib, rigging equipment, and overhead cranes to move and position work pieces
Cross-train and flex across functions based on development and business needs
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a production environment working on above-mentioned tasks
Ability to perform simple computer operations
Be available to work 1st and 2nd shift
Ability to work overtime to support production demands
Desired Qualifications:
One (1) to three (3) years of Electrical Assembly experience
One (1) to three (3) years of Instrumentation Assembly experience
One (1) to three (3) years of Mechanical Assembly experience
Completion of a technical vocational program (minimum of 9 months)
Knowledge of electrical system and instrumentation installation requirements and techniques
Top Candidates:
Good Communication Skills and strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Leadership Experience
Ability to work well individually or in a team environment
One (1) to three (3) years of Pipe Assembly experience
All eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any position:
Background Screening
Physical and drug/alcohol screening
Summary Pay Range:
$28.57 - $42.85
