Salary Range: $27.56 to $34.45 per hour
Hours: 1-10 hours per week (will vary each week)

Position Summary
The Research Analyst is to provide clerical, administrative and/or analytical assistance with the management of data in research studies under the direction of Scientists, Clinical Research Coordinators, Scientific Associates or Research Associates. For these 2 vacancies, the Research Analysts will be reporting to Dr. Alice Kam, Principal Investigator at KITE Research Institute.
Duties
- Assists in the modification and maintenance of electronic and paper data management systems.
- Coordinates necessary data flow both internally, as well as externally with collaborators from other sites.
- Obtain medical data on research subjects from registries or other hospitals.
- Participate in qualitative analyses of data collected from patients.
- Assist in interpretation of results and preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants.
- Maintain regulatory documents.
- Participate in department review of data collection strategies.
- Liaise with sponsors for monitoring/audits.
- Perform computer statistical analyses.
- Generate response curves, status reports and other statistical reports, as required.
- Interpret results and prepare material for presentation, publication and/or grants.
- Assist in the preparation of submissions to the Research Ethics Board.
- Conduct literature searches.
Qualifications
- At minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master's degree is an asset.
- At minimum, 1 year of related experience is required.
- Proficient in statistical analysis and data management software applications.
- Able to apply general research principles, concepts and techniques relating to data collection and management to perform well-defined tasks and analyses.
- Exercises moderate judgement and decision making, using established policies and procedures, to resolve problems.
- Can efficiently seek direction on choice of work methods and resolution of more complex problems (e.g., questionnaire administration).
- Able to effectively seek approval for work results and conformity to assignment objectives.
- Demonstrates core competency in written and verbal communications.
