Pay Range:

$30.70 - $46.05

The Laboratory at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a Research Lab Technician to support NIH-funded research in artificial intelligence, medical imaging, computational pathology, and precision oncology.

The Research Lab Technician will work closely with faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, clinicians, and collaborators on interdisciplinary projects involving large-scale clinical, imaging, pathology, and genomic datasets. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge biomedical AI research and is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing careers in biomedical research, data science, artificial intelligence, or advanced graduate and professional training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Curating, organizing, and managing large-scale clinical, imaging, pathology, and multimodal datasets.
• Performing data preprocessing, quality control, annotation, and documentation.
• Supporting computational analyses of CT, MRI, PET/CT, whole-slide pathology images, and multimodal biomedical data.
• Maintaining research databases, documentation, and data management pipelines.
• Preparing figures, tables, and supplementary materials for scientific manuscripts, presentations, and grant applications.
• Coordinating research activities with students, postdoctoral fellows, clinicians, and collaborators.
• Assisting with literature reviews, project organization, and general laboratory operations.
• Participating in laboratory meetings, journal clubs, and research presentations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree with four years? experience in a research or laboratory setting; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrates knowledge of scientific principles.
• Strong computer skills Strong communication skills public speaking experience. Ability to prepare grant proposals with minimal supervision
• Peer-reviewed publications, plus oral or poster presentations at national meetings
