Software Analyst

You will be part of the Windchill - Core Services team, working on application service in the Windchill ecosystem. The team collaborates closely with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Technical Program Managers, and other engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Your Day-to-Day

• Analyze functional and technical requirements for assigned user stories and defects.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain features within the Windchill Platform.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas for feature implementation and product improvements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to understand design approaches and technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality.
• Troubleshoot product issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Contribute to performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.
• Work closely with QA engineers to ensure proper test coverage and successful feature validation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to development activities.
• Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and engineering practices relevant to Windchill development.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively within Agile teams to meet sprint and release commitments.

Must-Have Skills

• 3-4 years of software development experience in Java-based applications.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Java/J2EE and object-oriented design principles.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working with enterprise applications and distributed systems is preferred.
• Understanding of database concepts with hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, service-oriented architecture, and modern development practices.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and leveraging AI-powered development tools.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to performance tuning and scalability concepts.
• Experience working with web-based UI frameworks.
• Knowledge of Windchill architecture or other PLM products.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments.
