Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing solutions for next-generation Wi‑Fi and broadband networking products. This role will focus on test automation, CI/CD pipeline development, software quality initiatives, and validation infrastructure support.
The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills and experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and Artifactory. Candidates with networking knowledge, particularly Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, and Cisco technologies, will have an advantage in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for Wi‑Fi and networking products.
- Create Python-based tools and utilities to support product validation, test execution, and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing and release validation.
- Integrate automated testing into GitHub-based development workflows.
- Manage software artifacts and package repositories using Artifactory.
- Collaborate with software development, quality assurance, and product engineering teams to improve test coverage and product quality.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of software and system defects.
- Support regression, feature, performance, and interoperability testing activities.
- Contribute to lab automation initiatives and test infrastructure improvements.
- Document software designs, test automation frameworks, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and drive adherence to software quality standards.
- Support customer issue reproduction and validation efforts when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- 3+ years of software development or test automation experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with:
- Jenkins
- GitHub
- Artifactory
- Linux environments
- Git version control
- Experience developing automated test solutions and supporting CI/CD workflows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing networking, broadband, wireless, or telecommunications products.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals including:
- TCP/IP
- DHCP
- DNS
- Routing and switching concepts
- Ethernet technologies
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Wi‑Fi technologies including:
- 802.11ac
- 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6)
- 802.11be (Wi‑Fi 7)
- Experience with REST APIs and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with containerized environments and automation tools.
- Experience with performance testing, throughput testing, and network protocol analysis.
