Job Summary
The Special Program Aid, under supervision, will assist the department with general administrative and compliance assistance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research compliance data entry, manipulation, editing, analysis, and maintenance of databases.
Assistance with research compliance websites' design and maintenance.
General office duties including but not limited to answering telephones, typing, filing, and photocopying.
Provide clerical support to University employees which may include conducting background research, maintaining records, and/or assisting with special projects related to the department.
Assistance with faculty and staff training.
Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent.
One year of experience in general clerical/office work
May not be a current undergraduate student at Texas A&M International University.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher standing.
Knowledge of research compliance regulations through work or research experience(s)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Computer literate.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with university students and staff.
Ability to work effectively in teams.
Ability to speak in front of large groups.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other Requirements
Position requires keeping a work schedule of 19 hours weekly.
Position requires face-to-face interactions on campus.
Position requires maintaining a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
Must have excellent references from academic or professional members of a university or other agency.

Pay of Rate: $12.50/hour for up to 19 hours weekly
