Job Summary
Serve as the Customer proxy, and responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders—including other product owners and other teams—to define and prioritize the Team Backlog so that the solution effectively addresses program priorities while maintaining technical integrity. Attend product management meetings, planning, and backlog/vision refinement sessions. Serve as a mentor to the APO and PO.
As a Sr Product Owner - MarTech / Content Supply Chain, you’ll own the product direction for enterprise CMS, content, and digital-experience capabilities that help teams create, manage, publish, and optimize customer-facing experiences.
You’ll translate customer and business problems into clear product outcomes, shaping roadmaps, backlogs, stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures across Marketing, Brand, Commercial, Customer, and Servicing domains. You’ll work closely with design, customer operations, engineering, and platform teams to modernize content experiences while balancing customer impact, platform feasibility, experience risk, dependencies, and speed to market.
This role will help evolve Southwest’s content and digital product ecosystem toward more scalable, measurable, and intelligent experiences. You’ll operate across enterprise Agile delivery and SAFe environments, using product analytics, instrumentation, experimentation, and iterative optimization to improve customer outcomes and platform value.
Responsibilities
Provide innovation and the end-to-end launch of integrated solutions/products across multiple Agile Teams
Collaborate with Business Partners and Product Managers to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment across multiple Agile Teams
Work with senior stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization
Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria across multiple products or complex solutions
Turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer
Oversee the design, construction, and implementation of integrated solutions ensuring functionality meets business requirements
Coach and mentor other Product Owners across multiple Agile Teams to build, refine, prioritize and maintain their Team backlogs
Review, approve, and drive iteration content by prioritizing user stories and accept user stories as complete
Define and prioritize solutions to complex issues and effectively communicate dependencies, risks, issues and cope for complex solutions
Coach and mentor Product Owners and Scrum Masters in the successful delivery of Scrum ceremonies such as iteration planning, iteration reviews, and demos
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Frame customer and business problems into clear product opportunities, outcomes, and measurable success criteria for CMS, content, and digital-experience products.
Own and continuously refine product roadmaps, backlogs, priorities, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer impact, business value, feasibility, experience risk, and dependencies.
Drive product direction for headless CMS capabilities, including authoring workflows, publishing models, platform constraints, modernization priorities, and content delivery needs.
Partner with Design, Customer Operations, Engineering, Platform, Marketing, Digital, Security, and Architecture teams to shape scalable product experiences and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
Define clear escalation rules, human-review points, and boundaries for automation when introducing workflow automation or AI-enabled capabilities into customer and content journeys.
Operate effectively in SAFe and scaled Agile environments, partnering across Agile Release Trains and enterprise dependencies to align priorities, sequencing, capacity, and delivery outcomes.
Define KPIs, product instrumentation, experimentation approaches, and evaluation frameworks that measure customer experience, adoption, product health, and business outcomes.
Use product insights, experimentation, and feedback loops to continuously optimize CMS modernization and customer-facing digital products.
Communicate product vision, trade-offs, priorities, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders and create alignment across business and technology teams.
Partner with engineering and architecture leaders on secure, scalable platform capabilities and emerging agentic integrations that can extend the product ecosystem.

Knowledge of industry trends and new technologies in order to provide innovative product guidance to the Business or Product Manager
Expertise in Agile including the value and principles, and how they are applied in enterprise environments
Strong product ownership experience with the ability to frame customer and business problems, manage backlogs, write effective user stories and acceptance criteria, and define measurable outcomes.
• Hands-on product expertise with headless CMS platforms, including authoring workflows, publishing models, platform constraints, and CMS modernization priorities.
• Strong roadmap and prioritization capability, balancing customer impact, platform modernization, feasibility, experience risk, dependencies, and business outcomes.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience partnering across Design, Customer Operations, Engineering, Platform, Marketing, Digital, Security, and Architecture.
• Strong understanding of scaled Agile delivery and SAFe, including Agile Release Trains, enterprise dependencies, capacity considerations, and delivery measurement.
• Ability to define and use KPIs, instrumentation, experimentation, and evaluation frameworks to guide product decisions and iterative optimization.
• Strong systems-thinking and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to simplify complex product and platform decisions and influence across a large enterprise.
• Ability to operate effectively in regulated enterprise environments while balancing customer experience, governance, security, and delivery needs.
Education
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training
Experience
Required: Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
Agile and Scrum software development methodologies
Business analysis, project management or software development delivering enterprise products and solutions
5-7 years of relevant work-related experience
Required: 5+ years of product ownership / product management experience in enterprise environments, with responsibility for customer and business outcomes.
5+ years of experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, and product success measures
Demonstrated experience delivering or modernizing CMS, content, or digital-experience products, preferably in large enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience with headless CMS concepts, authoring workflows, publishing models, content management constraints, and digital-experience modernization.
Demonstrated experience working in scaled Agile / SAFe environments, including ARTs, enterprise dependencies, and cross-functional delivery.
Experience defining product analytics, instrumentation, experimentation, and evaluation frameworks for customer-facing or AI-enabled capabilities.
Preferred:
CSPO and/or SAFe POPM certification.
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Workfront, Fusion, CMS/DAM, or comparable enterprise MarTech and content workflow platforms.
Experience operating in large, regulated enterprises and partnering with Customer Operations, Marketing, Digital, Security, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
Experience building and operating secure MCP servers and agentic integrations on AWS, including tool authentication, serverless or container deployment, observability, and production reliability.
Working knowledge of customer graphs and how customer data hydrates the broader MarTech stack.
Basic knowledge of marketing consent and cookie-management concepts.
Experience with MROI, asset reuse, campaign workflow performance reporting, and other measures that connect product performance to marketing outcomes.
Experience defining product evaluation frameworks for AI-enabled capabilities, automation, or agentic customer experiences.

Ability to work onsite approximately 3 days per week and as required by the business
