Job Summary

  • Advanced experience in designing, writing program code, testing, documenting, and implementing functionally appropriate, technically sound, and well-integrated application systems in accordance with Customer requirements, organizational methodologies, and standards. Identifies and prevents production problems and implement immediate resolution efforts across technology areas. Mentoring Software Engineers, holistic vision of organization and impact, focusing on “shift left” activities.

  • As a Sr Software Engineer - AWS / MarTech, you’ll build secure, scalable cloud services that support the enterprise Content Supply Chain and move high-volume content from creation through customer experience.

  • You’ll apply AWS cloud-native engineering, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and secure engineering practices across services and integrations supporting AEM, Workfront, Fusion, CMS/DAM, and downstream digital channels. You’ll collaborate with Product, Architecture, Adobe platform teams, QA, and distributed US-India engineering teams while helping shape reusable technical standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical direction and feature roadmap of large-scale cloud systems

  • Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members

  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions

  • Drives detailed definition of feature requirements through discussions with product managers and customers

  • Supports continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies

  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming

  • Evaluates code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems

  • Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities

  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

  • Design, build, test, and operate secure, scalable AWS services using serverless, containers, and managed AWS capabilities for enterprise MarTech workloads. 

  • Develop cloud services and integrations that support AEM, Workfront, Fusion, CMS/DAM, content workflows, and downstream digital channels. 

  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or equivalent approaches, with automated deployment, rollback, and environment promotion. 

  • Establish observability across AWS services and integrations through logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, performance tuning, and incident-response practices. 

  • Apply secure cloud engineering practices including IAM, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and automated controls for services and credentials. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, concepts, and technologies obtained through formal training and / or work experience

  • Proactively shares knowledge and skills of software development and testing to solve a range of problems

  • Advanced knowledge of at least one required programming language

  • Excellent partnering, communication, negotiation skills, and execution in working with various Technology or partner Teams

  • Ability to articulate (verbally / visually) ideas, approach, concepts, options, risk, impact, and provides guidance to technical, non-technical, and Leadership audiences

  • Ability to lead multiple assignments, whether administrative or project related, while maintaining a successful level of completion in all responsible work

  • Ability to mentor others

  • Ability to lead ideating, presentations, mentoring and group-thinking sessions

  • Ability to influence without authority

  • Cloud-native AWS engineering - 5–7+ years building secure, scalable production services using serverless or containers and managed AWS services. 

  • Infrastructure as code and CI/CD - 4–6+ years with CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, or equivalent, including automated deployment, rollback, and environment promotion. 

  • Observability and production reliability - 4–6+ years implementing logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, performance tuning, and incident response across cloud services and integrations. 

  • Secure cloud engineering - 5–7+ years applying IAM, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability remediation, and automated security controls. 

  • Agile engineering collaboration - 3–5+ years translating platform and integration requirements into working software, participating in design and code reviews, and delivering iteratively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Ability to work across enterprise CMS/DAM and MarTech integrations and understand how cloud services support content creation, orchestration, activation, and delivery. 

  • Experience integrating AWS services with AEM, Workfront, Fusion, CMS/DAM, content workflows, or downstream digital channels. 

Education

  • Required: Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training

Experience

  • Required: Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:

  • Software development and methodologies

  • 5-7 years of relevant work-related experience

  • Required: 5–7+ of progressive professional experience aligned to the role, with relevant experience in enterprise MarTech, cloud, CMS, API, or digital-platform engineering. 

  • 5–7+ years building production AWS cloud-native services and integrations for enterprise platforms. 

  • Experience integrating AWS services with AEM, Workfront, Fusion, CMS/DAM, content workflows, or downstream digital channels. 

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with infrastructure as code, automated CI/CD, deployment automation, and production support.

Other Qualifications

  • Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed
