Premier Automation is now accepting applications for Summer 2027 internship opportunities across our technical, engineering, manufacturing, and business teams.

Headquartered in Monroeville, PA, Premier Automation designs, engineers, builds, and supports advanced industrial automation and control solutions. Our work spans automation and controls, robotics, electrical systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor control, custom control panels, manufacturing, quality, operations, and the business teams that support our continued growth.

Premier's internship program gives students the opportunity to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while learning alongside experienced professionals in their field.

Depending on your internship assignment, you may have opportunities to:

  • Learn alongside experienced professionals who can provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback
  • Build practical skills using the tools, technology, processes, and responsibilities relevant to your field
  • Apply what you're learning in school to real-world projects and challenges
  • Learn how different teams work together across the organization
  • Explore potential career paths and gain a better understanding of where your interests and strengths could take you

 

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in students who are:

  • Currently pursuing a degree, diploma, or technical education related to their area of interest
  • Interested in gaining meaningful, real-world professional experience
  • Curious, dependable, and willing to learn
  • Comfortable asking questions and collaborating with others
  • Able to work full-time, daytime hours throughout the summer internship period
  • Able to reliably commute to their assigned Premier Automation location and arrange their own housing (Relocation assistance and housing are not provided)

Specific education, experience, and technical qualifications will vary depending on the internship opportunity.

 

Internship Details

  • Opportunities: Potential internships may span technical, engineering, manufacturing, and business-related fields; applicants can select the field(s) that best match their education and career interests when applying
  • Employment: Paid, hourly summer internship with full-time hours
  • 401(k): Opportunity to participate in Premier Automation's 401(k) plan with employer match and immediate vesting
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours; schedules may vary by department (example: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM)
  • Locations: Opportunities may be available in Monroeville or Murrysville, PA, and Alpharetta, GA, depending on department needs
  • Travel: Some internships, particularly technical roles, may include travel to customer or project sites; travel is typically local but may occasionally include out-of-state or overnight travel depending on the assignment
