The Supervisor Plant Maintenance manages and develops their Team of Plant maintenance Employees located Dallas, TX. This role will support the Production Team in providing necessary maintenance at any of Southwest’s stations and present to Leadership. The Supervisor Plant Maintenance is a strong communicator who looks forward to leading an impactful Team.

Model the Southwest Way- Guide and lead Team Members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop and engage Employees

- Monitor continuous work in multiple locations for the assigned region
- Monitor and maintain approximately 1 million sq ft of Aircraft Hangar Facility across multiple cities
- Coordinate multiple ongoing projects for facility repairs or improvements within the assigned region
- Assure all work performed during the assigned shift is in accordance with approved maintenance procedures
- Coordinate Plant maintenance requirements with all pertinent Company Departments and or Vendors when necessary
- Review with Lead Mechanics the assigned work and adjusts them as required
- Monitor productivity and labor hour requirements
- Evaluate the need for required overtime, monitor sick leave, approve required payroll documents and take the appropriate action when required
- Troubleshoot and diagnose the necessary repair for the following: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, roofing, irrigation, and other general facility repairs
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and guidelines for hazardous materials
- Knowledge of Building and Fire Safety Codes
- Skilled in written and verbal skills, including the ability to speak in a group situation
- Skilled in reading and comprehending technical reports, instructions, and maintenance documents
- Ability to manage and establish a positive attitude with assigned personnel
- Ability to work in a stressful environment with multiple tasking and tight time-constraints
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:
- Construction or facility repair project coordination
- Preferred: Experience in Maintenance Connections, Maintenix, Ariba, SAP, and Concur.
Licensing/Certification- Required: Must hold or be able to obtain an Airport Driver’s permit
- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to access restricted areas requiring climbing, crawling, and kneeling
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be able to travel and overnight stays 50% of the time
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $125,900.00 per year to $139,900.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
