Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

  • Support and enhance SAP Materials Management (MM) processes within a fast-paced automotive Tier 1 manufacturing environment, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory, and supplier operations.

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, and IT teams to analyze business requirements and deliver SAP MM solutions that improve operational performance.

  • Assist in the configuration, testing, and support of SAP MM functionalities, including purchasing, inventory management, material master data, and vendor management.

  • Monitor and resolve system issues, perform root cause analysis, and support business users to ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations and production schedules.

  • Participate in SAP projects, process improvements, and system enhancements while developing expertise in automotive supply chain processes and SAP best practices

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day SAP MM operations, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, scheduling agreements, goods movements, inventory management, and supplier-related processes.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot SAP MM issues, partnering with business users and technical teams to identify root causes and implement timely solutions.

  • Maintain and support master data, including material masters, purchasing information records, source lists, and vendor data to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

  • Perform system testing, validation, documentation, and user training for SAP enhancements, upgrades, and new business process implementations.

  • Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interest in information systems management or business systems within a multinational organization

  • Desire to be part of a highly collaborative global team.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with IT department, cross-functional teams and suppliers.

  • SAP MM ERP experience required

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experience preferred

  • Working knowledge preferred of EDI standards and transaction sets, including ANSI X12 (e.g. 830, 850, 855, 856, 810, 862), EDIFACT equivalent, and XML formats used within automotive, manufacturing, and supply chain environments.

  • Experience or similar preferred using Seeburger EDI software to convert and process electronic business documents preferred

  • Experience or similar preferred working with the Covisint Web EDI Portal to exchange purchasing documents (e.g. ASN/purchase orders)

  • Strong interest in building and applying knowledge in enterprise resource planning systems, procurement business systems and Artificial Intelligence (Predictive AI, Generative AI and Agentic AI)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (high preference in Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Operations Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or Management Information Systems))

  • 2-5 years of experience Supply Chain Management, Procurement & Sourcing, Operations Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or Management Information Systems

  • Automotive experience is preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.
