About the Role

This is a pivotal commercial role at a seed-stage life sciences ingredient company, sitting at the intersection of science and sales. You will bridge the R&D team and buyers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers, turning warm leads into long-term partnerships and driving growth during an exciting early commercial phase.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle for B2B ingredient customers, from first contact through to signed partnership agreements.

  • Act as the technical point of contact for prospective customers, translating complex science into compelling commercial value propositions.

  • Build and nurture relationships with purchasing and formulation teams at supplement brands, contract manufacturers, and distributors.

  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings, with regular travel expected.

  • Manage and progress leads through a CRM, maintaining accurate pipeline visibility.

  • Collaborate closely with the lab and product team to align customer needs with ingredient capabilities and development priorities.

What We're Looking For

  • A completed degree in a relevant scientific or technical field, such as food technology, nutritional science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, or a business degree with a life sciences focus.

  • 2 to 4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience in the ingredients, nutraceuticals, supplements, or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven ability to sell technical or science-based products consultatively.

  • An established network within the nutraceutical or ingredient industry, including familiarity with key events, distributors, and prospective customers.

  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a strong plus.

  • Comfort working in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.

  • Experience with CRM tools and structured pipeline management.

  • Familiarity with cyclodextrin-based formulation or similar drug-delivery technologies is advantageous.
