Job Summary**
The Tooling FA Jr. Engineer I will support the failure analysis of tooling components, identify root causes, and contribute to corrective actions to improve tooling performance and lifespan within Jabil's manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist in performing failure analysis on various tooling components (e.g., molds, dies, fixtures, jigs) using established methodologies and equipment.
* Document failure modes, mechanisms, and contributing factors through detailed reports and visual aids.
* Support senior engineers in identifying root causes of tooling failures and proposing effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Collect and analyze data related to tooling performance, wear, and failure rates.
* Assist in the implementation and validation of tooling design modifications or material changes.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, design, and quality teams to gather relevant information for failure investigations.
* Maintain and organize failure analysis records, samples, and equipment.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Entry-level experience (0-2 years) in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to tooling or failure analysis.
* Basic understanding of materials science principles, mechanics of materials, and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining).
* Familiarity with common failure analysis techniques (e.g., visual inspection, microscopy, hardness testing) is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
