Job Summary:
The Post Trade Division at HKEX plays a key role in the development and enhancement of Hong Kong's financial market infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Vice President to lead strategic initiatives across post-trade services, market infrastructure development, business transformation and system modernisation.The successful candidate will work closely with business, operations, technology, risk, legal and external stakeholders to drive market infrastructure enhancements, deliver major change initiatives and support the continued evolution of HKEX's post-trade ecosystem. The role requires strong financial market knowledge, strategic thinking, stakeholder management capabilities and a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives.
Job Duties:
Key Responsibilities
Market Infrastructure Development
Monitor developments in financial markets, industry practices and regulatory frameworks, and assess their impact on HKEX's post-trade business.
Identify opportunities to enhance HKEX's products, services and market infrastructure.
Develop strategic recommendations and business cases to support new initiatives.
Engage with market participants, regulators and industry bodies to support the development and implementation of market initiatives.
Represent HKEX in industry forums, consultations and working groups.
Strategy and Solution Development
Lead the development and evaluation of business requirements, operating models and solution options for strategic initiatives.
Drive the design and implementation of business and technology solutions.
Ensure solutions appropriately address business, operational, risk and regulatory considerations.
Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive stakeholder alignment and facilitate decision-making across business, operations and technology teams.
Prepare and present recommendations, proposals and project updates to senior management and governance committees.
Project Delivery
Lead strategic business and technology initiatives from inception through implementation.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
Service and Infrastructure Enhancement
Drive initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, risk management and client experience.
Lead the ongoing development and modernisation of HKEX's post-trade services and infrastructure.
Promote continuous improvement and adoption of industry best practices.
Key requirements
Experience in clearing, settlement, collateral management, repo, bonds, OTC derivatives clearing, commodities or other post-trade services is highly desirable.
Proven experience leading strategic, business transformation or technology change initiatives.
At least 10 years of relevant experience within financial institutions, market infrastructure providers, consulting firms or other financial services organizations.
Strong knowledge of financial market infrastructure and experience in strategy development, project delivery or business transformation.
University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. Candidates from other disciplines with relevant experience will also be considered.
