Are you looking for an exciting paid summer internship experience? Washington Gas is looking for several Accounting & Finance Interns to join our team this summer! 

As an Accounting or Finance Intern at Washington Gas, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced finance professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that support business performance across our organization. Building on your classroom studies, you will develop and enhance your technical, analytical, and professional skills while working closely with mentors and gaining valuable real-world experience. 

This opportunity is ideal for students who are passionate about financial analysis, data-driven decision making, and contributing to business performance in a dynamic and collaborative environment. 

What You'll Do 

Depending on your team placement, your responsibilities may include: 

• Assist with financial analysis, reporting, and data validation activities. 

• Support accounting processes, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking activities. 

• Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and other materials for internal stakeholders. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret financial information. 

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency through automation or best practices. 

What You’ll Bring 

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in your sophomore or junior year at an accredited institution pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. 

• Proficient in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques. 

• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy. 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The base pay for this opportunity is $27 per hour.
